Film EquipmentI have a large range of run-and-gun equipment available for filmmaking. I start with a
Canon 7D High-Def camera. For a more film-like appearence, I use a
Tokina 11-16 f2.4 as well as a
Canon 17-55 f2.4 lenses. For audio, I have 2
Sennheiser EW100 G3 wireless mic systems both coupled with a
Countryman B6 microphone. For a boom, I use the
Sennheiser MK66 mic attached to a boom pole. For certain shots, I also have a 2x3 ft dolly with 30 ft of track, a 12x10 ft chroma green screen and a selection of bounce boards all lit using an
Amvonna 2500 watt 3 point lighting kit.
For post production, I use a
MacBook Pro i5 with 4GB of ram and over 1TB of external storage (which seems to be growing all the time!) I use a myriad of software suites that really depend on the project, for example
Adobe’s Creative Suite CS5 (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc),
Apple Final Cut Studio 3 (Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack, DVD Studio Pro, etc),
Celtx for production management, and
Final Draft for scriptwriting.
